Daniela Doncel is a graduate of the Univerisity of Connecticut where she was a Dean’s List student studying journlaism, French and creative writing. With this set of diverse skills, she intends to pursue a career in the journalism field.

Daniela was the news director and a reporter at WHUS Radio, UConn’s award-winning college radio station. She also wrote for the university’s student newspaper, the Daily Campus, as a news campus correspondent. She also showcased a more creative form of writing through Spoon University, an online food blog written by and for college students. She was president president of UConn’s Coalition of Writers club and a member of the poetry panel for the Long River Review, the university’s annual literary magazine.

While at UConn, Daniela had the opportunity to study abroad in Paris as the Sorbonne University during the fall semester of 2016.

When she isn’t writing, she enjoys reading in a wide-range of genres, writing novel-length stories and poems, listening to vinyl records and relaxing with her Yorkshire Terrier, Meela.
