Val­isure, a New Haven, Conn. phar­ma­ceu­ti­cal test­ing lab, found con­cen­tra­tions of ben­zene, a Group 1 car­cino­gen, in 27% of the near­ly 300 sun­screen and after-sun prod­ucts test­ed. The fol­low­ing graph­ic high­lights the nine prod­ucts with the high­est ben­zene lev­els com­pared to the FDA’s lim­it. The fol­low­ing graph­ic accom­pa­nied a sto­ry about low COVID-19 vac­ci­na­tion rates among Con­necti­cut’s poor­est cities and minor­i­ty pop­u­la­tions.
