In the fall 2025 semes\u00adter, a team of 14 stu\u00addent jour\u00adnal\u00adists spent the semes\u00adter research\u00ading and report\u00ading on the ram\u00adi\u00adfi\u00adca\u00adtions on Con\u00adnecti\u00adcut and the nation. \u201cThe Bal\u00adance of Pow\u00ader\u201d is a com\u00adpre\u00adhen\u00adsive explana\u00adto\u00adry jour\u00adnal\u00adism project that chron\u00adi\u00adcles this impor\u00adtant moment in his\u00adto\u00adry with more than two dozen arti\u00adcles, videos, pho\u00adtographs and mul\u00adti\u00adme\u00addia sto\u00adries pro\u00adduced by our tal\u00adent\u00aded under\u00adgrad\u00adu\u00adates. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Stu\u00addents dug into his\u00adto\u00adry, court rul\u00adings and the Con\u00adsti\u00adtu\u00adtion; inter\u00adviewed UConn pro\u00adfes\u00adsors, oth\u00ader experts and state lead\u00aders; cov\u00adered protests, com\u00admu\u00adni\u00adty actions and sym\u00adpo\u00adsiums; and explored the impact of Trump\u2019s aggres\u00adsive agen\u00adda on the lives of immi\u00adgrants, refugees, inter\u00adna\u00adtion\u00adal stu\u00addents, trans\u00adgen\u00adder peo\u00adple, teach\u00aders, researchers and oth\u00aders in Con\u00adnecti\u00adcut and beyond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
