Written Work

Newswriting

In this section of my written work, I present a collection of stories I have created during my time at the University of Connecticut. Each narrative not only reflects my understanding of AP style guidelines but also demonstrates my commitment to engaging and impactful storytelling. I aim to bring each story to life, highlighting the lessons and themes I have encountered throughout my UConn experience. The first two stories are published works, while the last three were submitted for UConn Newswriting courses. In all of these stories, I sought out and interviewed reputable sources, allowing me to craft compelling narratives and produce well-reported stories.

Speech Writing

This section of my written work features the speeches I delivered and wrote during the protests of 2020, which arose in response to the resurgence of the Black Lives Matter movement. Each speech reflects the urgency and passion of that time, as thousands gathered to advocate for justice and equality. Through powerful words, I sought to inspire hope for a future where everyone, regardless of race, could experience fairness and unity. These speeches show my vision for a society that embraces diversity and strengthens community bonds, paving the way for a better tomorrow for all.
