David Pindell graduated from UConn in 2019 with a dream of playing professional football. Two years later, his journey has brought him to an unlikely place, playing in a league where fans call the plays in real time through an app. Pindell is still looking for an opportunity to get to the NFL, but his difficult path has made him learn a few things about himself and about life.

UConn soccer forward Jordan Hall is off to a hot start. He comes to UConn as graduate transfer. He is originally from England but is now on his third school in four years. His journey to UConn is quite unique, with multiple stops along the way and a hiatus from the sport entirely. Hall has managed to overcome all that and do what he does best: score goals.

The 2009 UConn football team was one of the best in program history. The roster featured a lot of future NFL talent. The Huskies won a lot of big games that year, including a huge win over Notre Dame. The season is remembered both for the on-field accomplishments and the tragic death of cornerback Jasper Howard midseason that brought the team even closer together.

Alex Putterman is a sports reporter for the Hartford Courant. However, when COVID-19 hit, he transitioned from covering sports to covering the pandemic in Connecticut. For some sports reporters, such a transition could have been intimidating, but Putterman has taken it in stride.
Senior Centers change to meet needs

Senior centers have had to evolve a lot in recent years due to the expanding senior population. Seniors now have a wider range of wants and needs, and senior centers need to have the resources to accommodate that. The Mansfield Senior Center is a great example of these changes.
