David San­doval under­stood what it takes to be a suc­cess­ful bilin­gual jour­nal­ist before attend­ing the UConn. He found his pas­sion for jour­nal­ism and media through his uncle at ESPN Deportes, who cov­ered major sport­ing events from the FIFA World Cups in Brazil and Rus­sia to mul­ti­ple Olympics and Super Bowls. David is a UConn grad­u­ate with BAs in  jour­nal­ism and com­mu­ni­ca­tions who was involved with The Dai­ly Cam­pus, the Uni­ver­si­ty of Con­necti­cut’s inde­pen­dent dai­ly news­pa­per. He lives in Glas­ton­bury, Connecticut.

David is pro­fi­cient in using video edit­ing soft­ware like Adobe Pre­miere and Final Cut Pro, while also learn­ing the basics of oth­er graph­ic soft­ware like Adobe Illus­tra­tor and After Effects. To be suc­cess­ful in sports media and in jour­nal­ism, he strives to make both his writ­ten and visu­al work unique. When he is not at the key­board typ­ing up his work, David can be found look­ing up top­ic ideas for his next arti­cle, watch­ing high­lights of games on YouTube or watch­ing some of his favorite shows.
