This video is a special social media promotional advertisement made for TheRoundupCT’s newsletter.
Senior members of TheRoundupCT team each completed an independent study project during the Spring 2019 semester. I chose to create this video, starring Lucian Hatfield (Theatre Studies, left), Sophia Pelletier (Journalism and Communications, middle) and me, Amanda Cabral (Journalism and Communications, right).
The ad shows the importance of staying up-to-date on current events. In the advertisement, it becomes clear which friend in the group hasn’t been paying attention to the news. By the end, the other friends have convinced her to sign up for TheRoundupCT after highlighting all the benefits of subscribing to the local, weekly newsletter.
