Gampel Pavilion is not the only basketball court on campus.

Gam­pel Pavil­ion is the home of the UConn men’s and wom­en’s bas­ket­ball teams.

The are­na is always packed when bas­ket­ball sea­son rolls around. The Huskies are the defend­ing Nation­al Champions.

North entrance is usu­al­ly filled with “UConn Super Fans” before each game. How­ev­er there are plen­ty of oth­er bas­ket­ball courts on cam­pus for stu­dents not on the bas­ket­ball team.

UConn senior Sumanth Punuru for exam­ple, loves to play bas­ket­ball, but he is not good enough to play in Gampel.

Punuru said he plays at Alum­ni because it is close to his dorm and it is not near­ly as crowd­ed as the gym.
