About Me

Hi! I’m Olivia Mello, a 2025 graduate of the University of Connecticut with a double major in Communication and Journalism.

I’m currently a Social Media Intern with Hartford Athletic, a professional soccer club, where I help manage content across multiple platforms. My responsibilities include capturing and posting live game-time content, as well as assisting in the day-to-day planning and execution of social media campaigns.

I have hands-on experience in photography, video editing, and graphic design, and I’m passionate about creating engaging, dynamic content that resonates with diverse audiences.

Previously, I was a Content Creation Intern with UConn Athletics, where I contributed to several of the university’s TikTok accounts, including @uconnstudents, @uconnhuskies, @uconnmhoc, @uconnwsoccer, and @uconnbsb. I also held a summer internship with Kristen McCory Interiors in Farmington, CT, where I worked on rebranding their Instagram page through original graphics and video content.

I’m always looking to grow in the social and digital media space and would love to continue building creative, strategy-driven content for brands.

Social media is a great tool to help promote yourself as a brand and be able to reach out to as many people as possible to continue to grow and connect with different generations and consumers.
