The jour­ney begins with rain that falls on the upper fringes of the his­toric Ever­glades near Orlan­do. Once that water flowed south to Flori­da Bay. Now canals, dams and oth­er obsta­cles divert it in mul­ti­ple direc­tions, affect­ing every­one in the Ever­glades ecosystem.
